MIAMI – The No. 3-seed Miami Heat will tip off the first round of the playoffs Sunday afternoon at the American Airlines Arena against the No. 6-seed Charlotte Hornets.
The NBA released the schedule for the first round of the playoffs early Thursday morning.

The Heat will host Game 1 Sunday at 5:30 p.m. and Game 2 Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
The series shifts to Charlotte for the third and fourth games, to be held on Saturday, April 23 at 5:30 p.m. and Monday, April 25.
The first team to win four games advances to the next round, but if Games 5, 6, and 7 are necessary, Games 5 and 7 will be played in Miami with Game 6 in Charlotte.
