Aguayo, who has already graduated, won the 2013 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicking Award as the nation's top kicker in college football. The redshirt junior's .9673 conversion rate (267 of 276) bested the previous record of .9667 set by Alex Henery at Nebraska from 2007-10.

Aguayo leaves FSU with 405 career points. He was 69 of 78 on field goals and perfect on all 198 extra-point opportunities.

"These last four years have been nothing short of incredible on and off the field," Aguayo said in a statement released by the school. "I have made memories that I will always treasure. One goal when I got here was to graduate, and I'm thankful I was able to earn my degree in criminology this fall."

Aguayo becomes the 12th kicker in NCAA history never to miss an extra point.

"I'm very happy for Roberto and his family," Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher said in a statement. "He was phenomenal for us here at Florida State. He's arguably one of the best kickers, not only in Florida State history, but in NCAA history. I wish him nothing but the best. He was a great player, but also a great leader for our team and a great ambassador for our university. We're very excited for him, and we will look forward to watching him compete in the NFL for years to come."

It's rare that a kicker leaves school early, but Florida State has a history of successful kickers in the NFL.

Two-time Groza Award winner Sebastian Janikowski was a first-round draft pick by the Oakland Raiders in 2000. No other kicker has been drafted in the first round since.

Graham Gano, who also won the Groza Award in 2008, was undrafted but is now the kicker for the Carolina Panthers. He recently broke the team's record for most points in a season.
