PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A poll on the homepage of ESPN.com shows that South Florida is in the minority supporting the Heat in the 2014 NBA Finals.

In fact, Florida is the only state in the union, where Heat fans outnumber Spurs fans.

The unscientific poll results as of 1 p.m., which can be found here, show 52% of Floridians support the Heat, while 38% support the Spurs.

Around the world, there is a much different picture.

San Antonio has 57% of the support, with Miami only pulling in 28% of the support after more than 385,000 votes.

The role of villain is nothing new for the Heat. The team has been generally disliked nationwide during the Big Three era, and LeBron James was recently listed on a Forbes list of America's most disliked athletes.
