MIAMI ā South Florida is home to a lot of rats, and it has nothing to do with the Florida Panthers.
Miami and Fort Lauderdale have the ignominious honor of making Orkin's annual list of the country's Top 50 most rat-infested cities rankings.

The combined cities rank No. 13 on the list.
The rankings are based on the number of rodent treatment the company performed in the last year, both residential and commercial.
Tampa (31), West Palm Beach (36) and Orlando (46) also represent the Sunshine State in the "Filthy Fifty."
