FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The U.S. Navy will soon be invading South Florida, but you better hurry if you want to climb aboard and tour some of the most technologically-advanced ships and submarines protecting our seas.

Fleet Week Port Everglades is scheduled for May 1-7 in Fort Lauderdale.

Among the ships visiting South Florida:

  • USS Nitze (destroyer)
  • USS Monterey and USS San Jacinto (Guided-missile cruisers)
  • A nuclear submarine
  • USS New York (amphibious transport dock)
  • USCGC Forward and USCGC Margaret Norvell (Coast Guard cutters)

Ship tours will be offered to the public, but due to security precautions, advance online registration is required.

Registration begins Wednesday, April 5 with spots being filled on a first come, first served basis until tours are filled or Monday, April 19.
