Bomb squad detonates pressure cooker found under tree

HIALEAH, Fla. ā€“ A Hialeah elementary school was evacuated Thursday morning after a pressure cooker was found on campus.

Sky 10 was above Hialeah Elementary School on East Eighth Street as students were ushered outside.

Police and fire-rescue officials said a pressure cooker was found under a tree near the kindergarten building.

Students could be seen standing outside on the basketball courts while the bomb squad investigated.

A bomb squad technician used a robotic device to detonate the pressure cooker. It did not appear to have anything inside.

No other information was immediately known.
