Miami-Dade elections department holds public test of Nov. 5 voting equipment

DORAL, Fla. – The Miami-Dade County Elections Department personnel started a public test of voting machines on Wednesday morning in Doral.

The office of Christina White, the county’s supervisor of elections, announced that the equipment that will be used on Nov. 5 is tested for accuracy, and the test “includes everything from opening the equipment to transmitting and tabulating results.”

In Florida, early voting, when a voter casts a ballot before Nov. 5 at a designated station, begins on Oct. 21 and ends on Nov. 3.
