Gov. Ron DeSantis commented Wednesday on jabs former President Donald Trump made against him on Truth Social.
“Why did DeSantis vote against Trump’s border wall? We need some explanations here,” another user posted, to which Trump responded, “Wow, if I knew that I wouldn’t have endorsed him (and he would have had to quit the race, down 35 points!)”
Trump also responded to a post regarding an article with the headline “DeSantis says he’s ‘glad’ violent Trump protesters are being arrested.”
“What about ANTIFA & BLM, Ron?” the former president wrote.
During a news conference in Ocala Wednesday, DeSantis said people have made defamatory comments about him every day that he’s been in office and it simply comes with the territory, adding that you have to have tough skin in this industry.
“I spend my time delivering results for the people of Florida, and fighting against Joe Biden,” he said. “That’s how I spend my time. I don’t spend my time trying to smear other Republicans.”
