Costco recalls cold and flu medicine due to possible contamination

Costco Wholesale Club has recalled cold and flu medicine due to “potential foreign material contamination,” according to a manufacturer.

A Jan. 2 notice from LNK International, Inc. stated the Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu Congestion caplets, which bear the item number 1729556 and lot code P140082, were sold between Oct. 30, 2024, and Nov. 30, 2024, at the wholesaler’s stores in the Midwest and Southeast states.

Customers are advised not to consume the product and return it to their local Costco for a full refund.
