Breyers scoops out nearly $9 million in ‘natural vanilla’ ice cream settlement

Customers can receive cash back

Breyers has settled a class action lawsuit that alleged its “natural vanilla” flavored ice cream was flavored with non-vanilla plant substances.

The company and Conopco, Inc, an advertiser, agreed to the $8.85 million settlement on Tuesday and denied any wrongdoing.

Cash settlements will be awarded to customers who submit valid claim forms by Feb. 15, 2025, and add valid claims without proof of purchase.

Customers who submit the form will receive $1 per product, with an $8 limit per household.
