AT&T resolves software issue that caused outage for wireless customers

AT&T said it has resolved a software issue for some wireless customers.

The outage reportedly impacted a limited number of customers on Tuesday.

The issue comes one day after the Federal Communications Commission announced a $950,000 settlement with the company.

The settlement resolves an investigation into whether the company violated FCC rules, by failing to timely notify 911 call centers during an outage in August 2023.
