Preschooler reads more than 1,000 books

A three-year-old girl from North Dakota has accomplished something most people have not.

Eva Nelson has already read more than 1,000 books.

She is an avid reader who is till two years away from starting kindergarten.

Her parents believe that she gets her passion for reading from her big brother Ian, who is 5.

He too has already read 1,000 books and the two are not stopping any time soon.

: “I think it’s amazing, I never thought that in such a short period of time, they read that many books. It’s kind of funny thinking of all the books we didn’t count and all the daycare books that were read, grandparents read books,” said Eric Nelson, Ian and Eva’s father.

Ian and Eva’s parents said they hope they learn something new with every book they read. The siblings have even started to pick out books for their parents to read. They hope they will start reading as well.
