Rue21, a popular store among teenagers, will close all of its stores in the coming weeks after filing for bankruptcy, CNN reported.
The retailer filed for bankruptcy Thursday for the third time in its 50 years in business.

CNN reported that the company has been struggling financially in recent years despite filing for bankruptcy in 2017 in an effort to turn the company around.
Interim CEO Michele Pascoe said in a court filing that the company was “negatively impacted by challenges stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic and related adverse market trends, including a shift in consumer shopping patterns from traditional brick-and-mortar retailers to online retailers and changing consumer preferences.”
Rue21 has 30 locations in Florida, including four in South Florida:
