GLENDALE, Az. – An 11-year-old Arizona girl is now safe, after terrifying moments were caught on camera of a man trying to snatch her on her way to school.
The child was walking to school on Friday when a car is seen pulling up to the sidewalk. A man jumps out and tried to grab her.
The victim screamed and ran away as the man is seen walking back to his car.
Joseph Ruiz, 37, was taken into custody shortly after.
Police said he lived in the same apartment complex as the victim.
Ruiz now faces attempted kidnapping charges.
