Your morning coffee can now be served in your favorite reusable cup when buying coffee at your local Starbucks.

According to the national coffee chain, beginning on Wednesday, customers can use their reusable cup in the drive-thru and when placing Starbucks app orders.

It’s a change for the coffee giant that previously only allowed the reusable cup option for customers who enjoyed their beverages at its locations.

Customers can let the barista know they will be using their own cup when placing their order. App users can use the “personal cup” option when placing their order.

The cades will not accept cups larger than 40 ounces for reusable cup orders.

Reusable cups were reintroduced in some stores in July 2021, as reusable cups were not used during much of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For several years, Starbucks has been increasing the amount of recycled material in disposable paper cups.

In some markets last year, Starbucks began using single-use paper cups made with 30% recycled material, an increase from 10%.

The company has said the plan is to have all cups at 30% recycled material in in all U.S. stores starting in early 2025.
