VIDEO: Car goes airborne, crashes into home narrowly missing toddler inside

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – A woman has died after her car went airborne and crashed into a St. Louis home.

According to St. Louis County Police, the woman was driving at an extremely high rate of speed on Tuesday when her car barreled into Derek Wentzel’s home.

Wentzel said his girlfriend was home with some friends watching television, when the car crashed through a bedroom, missing a toddler who was sitting on the bed.

“Could’ve totally hit him, yes. Missed him by inches,” said Wentzel.

First responders arrived soon after and declared the driver dead on the scene.

When Wentzel arrived, he said he hoped to salvage what was left, but is afraid his home may be a total loss.
