Prank call prompts lockdown at Miami Beach Senior High

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Miami Beach Senior High School was placed on lockdown for a short time Thursday morning.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools spokeswoman Daisy Gonzalez-Diego told Local 10 News that school officials received a call from someone indicating that there may be someone on campus wanting to harm himself or others.

Police searched the school and found nothing, Gonzalez-Diego said.

She said the call appears to have been a prank.
