MIAMI – A memorial comprised of candles, messages and teddy bears marks the spot where a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed Friday night in Miami.
Gabriel Figueroa was outside a home on Northwest 52nd Street with friends when he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting.
"It's so sad that they take guns like toys," Figueroa's aunt told Local 10 News. "But they don't have any type of feelings."
Other family members were too distraught to talk about the shooting, but those who knew Figueroa said he was a good boy.
Gloria Martinez told Local 10 he ran inside her house bleeding immediately after the shooting.
Miami police don't have a motive for the shooting or know if Figueroa was the intended target.
"We're living now in fear," Martinez said.
