HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. — A man was rushed to a hospital Friday morning after he was pulled from the ocean in Hallandale Beach, authorities said.
According to police, officers and a Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crew responded to the beach near the 1800 block of South Ocean Drive where medics performed “life-saving measures” on the victim before transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Police said it appears the victim was diving before he lost consciousness in the water.
Detectives said foul play is not suspected, however the circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation.
The victim’s identity is being withheld from police as they work to notify his next of kin.
