MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A man has been detained for questioning after another man and a woman were found dead Friday morning in southwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
Sky 10 was above the area of Southwest 256th Street and 202th Avenue around 10:15 a.m. as a yellow tarp covered what appeared to be a body outside a home in the rural area.
Multiple Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies were spotted at the scene.
A spokesperson for MDSO told Local 10 News that first responders went to the area just after 8:30 a.m. and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel pronounced both victims dead at the scene.
Family members told Local 10 News that the two victims were a couple. Authorities confirm they were both between the ages of 50 and 60.
Authorities said a man was detained for questioning, but the investigation remains ongoing.
“This is a very vast sized property, so of course detectives are combing through every space of the property, gathering as much evidence as possible to help them lead themselves to find out what happened today,” an MDSO spokesperson said.
MDSO homicide detectives have assumed the investigation.
