Jail record show Alexis is facing multiple charges, including hit-and-run involving serious bodily injury, hit-and-run involving property damage, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. near West Broward Boulevard and Northwest 11th Avenue, when a vehicle struck a marked BSO patrol unit and fled the scene, investigators said.

They said witnesses told police that Alexis ran a red light before the collision.

Video from the scene showed heavy damage to the deputy’s vehicle, with the driver’s side crushed and airbags deployed.

Authorities said the male deputy was hospitalized after the crash.

They said his injuries were determined to be non-life threatening, and he is now recovering at home.

As of Saturday, Alexis was being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail.
