As kids across South Florida soak up the last few weeks of summer, several businesses and organizations have planned events to give many students some much-needed back to school supplies.
Here’s a list of upcoming free school supply giveaways:

- Free family-friendly event offering immunizations for uninsured children and school supply giveaways.

- AT&T, Compudopt provide 150 laptops and backpacks to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami for local students
- This event is part of a broader AT&T employee effort to help bridge the digital divide and distribute 30,000 backpacks filled with school supplies and laptops to students in qualifying households before they head back to school.

- Several Verizon retailers owned by Round Room LLC, will give away free backpacks during the 13th annual “School Rocks Backpack Giveaway” on Sunday, July 27, beginning at 1 p.m. at the following locations:
