MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – New body camera video obtained by Local 10 News on Tuesday shows the moment Miami Beach police arrested a man accused of secretly recording a woman and her two children inside a Forever 21 fitting room on Lincoln Road late last year.
The video shows officers handcuffing 31-year-old Luca DiMichele and escorting him out of the store and into a waiting patrol vehicle on Dec. 14, 2024.
According to an arrest report, a 39-year-old woman told officers she was trying on clothes with her 10-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son when she noticed a cellphone placed face-up near the fitting room wall.
She said DiMichele appeared to be recording them with his phone, the report stated.
The woman grabbed the device and discovered it was actively recording, authorities said. She immediately took the phone to a store manager, who contacted police.
DiMichele denied the accusation, but officers arrested him at the scene.
He now faces a charge of video voyeurism, a third-degree felony in Florida.
