CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Local 10’s Nicole Perez hosted the 32nd annual Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon.
The organization honors mothers and fathers every year who embrace their mission of commitment to children and families, improving birth outcomes in underserved communities in Broward County.
The organization surpassed its goal of raising $15,000 for this year’s event.
The luncheon was held on Tuesday at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Coral Springs.
According to the organization’s website, (HMHB/Broward) was formed in 1987 in response to a high rate of infant mortality in Broward County, Florida. The agency has developed and implemented innovative programs and services for low-income pregnant and parenting families, focusing on zip codes at high risk of infant death, poor maternal/child health, and child endangerment.
