PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Staff at the Humane Society of Broward County are looking for a home for Zen, a 1-and-a-half-year-old, 6-and-a-half-pound dog.
Staff describe Zen as a “diva” because she “doesn’t like to share.”
“Let’s be honest. She was adopted in return because she became possessive of her toys, her food, her bed and anything else she could so she really needs to be an only child,” Cherie Wachter, with HSBC, said. “She could probably go to the dog park and play in the small dog section, because she does like to play with dogs. But when it comes to her things, she’s not sharing.”
But Wachter said she’s a loving dog.
“She really would be very happy sitting on someone’s lap if you’re looking for a dog to travel with,” she said. “This is your girl.”
Zen isn’t fully potty-trained, though and will need a little extra work on that at home.
