The armed robbery was reported shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Stop Market, located at 249 NW 62nd St.

According to an arrest report from the Miami Police Department, the victim was working at the register when Christopher Deangelo Lemons, of Miami, walked toward the register, pointed a silver revolver at the victim and said, “Give me everything in the cash register.”

Police said the victim opened the register and Lemons took about $800 in cash.

He then grabbed the victim’s cellphone and left the store, authorities said.

According to the report, shortly after the robbery, an officer was flagged down by bystanders who were sitting outside the business.

They told him Lemons fled north on Northwest Second Place and ran into an open parking lot.

They also told the officer that Lemons had stitches and an injury to his right knee.

According to the report, detectives reviewed surveillance video from inside and outside the store which corroborated the victim’s account of what transpired.

Police said Lemons was located on Thursday and initially fled from members of the police department’s Tactical Robbery Unit before being apprehended.

He was arrested on an armed robbery charge.

As of Friday afternoon, Lemons was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.

According to jail records, he was out on felony bond for drug charges at the time of his arrest Thursday.
