The statue was modeled after the “Charging Bull” sculpture on Wall Street. It represents Miami’s role as a hub for cryptocurrency.

It was unveiled in 2022 in Miami Beach and was later moved to its permanent home at Northeast First Avenue and Fourth Street on the MDC campus.

The vandals sprayed white lettering on the statue, the meaning of which wasn’t clear.

Local 10 News has contacted Miami police seeking more information.
