Chain-reaction crash’s fuel spill causes gridlock on I-95 in Miami

A chain-reaction crash resulted in a fuel spill that shutdown a part of Interstate 85 northbound on Friday in Miami-Dade County. (.)

MIAMI – A hazmat team responded to a spill of 200 gallons of fuel after a chain-reaction crash along Interstate 95 on Friday in Miami-Dade County.

A fuel tanker overturned after a four-vehicle crash on I-95 northbound near State Road 112, according to Lt. Alex Camacho, a Florida Highway Patrol spokesman.

Fire rescue personnel took a man who was injured to Jackson Memorial Hospital and used absorbent before a hazmat team arrived, according to Lt. Pete Sanchez, a spokesman for Miami Fire Rescue.
