MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Gardens police are investigating a double shooting that occurred Friday morning.
According to police, the shooting was reported at 6:38 a.m. in the 4600 block of Northwest 193rd Street.
Police said officers arrived at the scene and found two males suffering from gunshot wounds.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units transported them both to a local trauma center, where one of them died.

A Miami Gardens police officer told Local 10 News this is a domestic violence case.
“Upon arrival, units discovered two persons were shot -- two males were shot,” Miami Gardens police spokeswoman, Officer Diana Delgado, said.
According to Delgado, the man who died had initially been airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.
Local 10 has since learned that the man was the husband of a woman who was seen being questioned by officers, along with her son.
“This is a domestic violence case,” Delgado said. “We don’t have the full details as to what occurred, but we know that this was an incident between a boyfriend and a girlfriend.”
Local 10 News later learned from relatives that the man and woman Delgado was referring to are married.
Also injured in the shooting was the 18-year-old son of the woman, who also has three other children.
His father showed up to the scene looking for answers.
“All I know is an argument took place and two people got shot, one of then being my son,” he said.
The young man is reportedly stable and recovering at the hospital.
Delgado said domestic violence cases are, unfortunately, on the rise and she is encouraging anyone involved in a domestic violence situation to speak up.
“I can’t stress this enough, if you find yourself in a domestic violence situation, please seek help,” she said.
According to authorities, the wife of the man killed had bruises on her arms, possibly the result of domestic violence.
Right now, detectives are questioning the mother and son who were spotted at the scene and also the father of the 18-year-old who got shot.
Police said this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public. The identities and ages of the individuals involved in the shooting have not yet been released.
