WESTON, Fla. – Newly released 911 calls paint a chaotic picture of what deputies say was a drunken night involving Cuban-American actor William Levy at a high-end Weston restaurant.
“They are acting drunk, also — so they don’t want to leave. And we’re not offering more alcohol to them,” a caller told 911 dispatchers from Baires Grill, located at 2210 Weston Rd.
Broward deputies say Levy was drunk and refused to leave the restaurant Monday night.
In another 911 recording, the caller told dispatchers:
“They are drinking too much and they don’t want to leave, they don’t want to pay the check so… we try to give them discount… they are getting into an argument with another customer and they are getting more aggressive.”
In background audio from the calls, the sounds of shouting and disruption can be heard inside the restaurant.
“I want you to beat my a--!” a voice shouted in the background as tensions escalated at the restaurant.
Levy, known for his roles in telenovelas, Hollywood films, and as a former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, was arrested and faces one count each of disorderly intoxication and trespassing, jail records show.
“I was having a drink with one of my friends from the team, the baseball team, and they started arguing with another guy and I got in front him to try to deescalate the situation and I’m dealing with that,” he said while speaking to reporters after bonding out of jail Tuesday evening.
