Miami police said officers responded Monday evening to a report of a disturbance after someone called 911 and urged police to “hurry up.”

Police said they arrived at the scene after the victim claimed that his father was holding Matthias Kohl, 55, of El Portal, at gunpoint inside his home because he believed Kohl had broken in.

However, the boy told police he had invited Kohl over and that the two previously had sex after meeting on March 12, an arrest report states.

He also admitted to sending explicit photos of himself to Kohl through the Grindr app that same day, the report stated.

Less than a month later, police said Kohl arrived at the boy’s residence just after 3:15 p.m. Monday and was invited by the victim into his bedroom, according to the report.

The situation escalated when the victim heard a noise in the house. He told Kohl to remain in the room while he went to investigate, the report stated.

Police said that’s when the victim found his father checking the house, room by room. The victim’s father then discovered Kohl in his son’s room, leading to the confrontation and the 911 call, the report stated.

Jail records show Kohl, a German national, is facing one count of unlawful sexual activity with a minor.

As of Tuesday, he is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a magistrate hold, with his bond set at $7,500.
