According to the Pembroke Park Police Department, the incident happened Monday at a warehouse complex at 3121 SW 21st St., near South Park Road.
State records show Itzhak Bak, 67, of Hallandale Beach, owns a business registered to the address called “Estates Trader, LLC.”
An arrest report obtained by Local 10 News on Friday states that the victim was driving in the area when he saw “several cats” and stopped to give them treats and water.
Police said Bak came out and confronted him about feeding the cats, but the victim ignored him and kept pouring water onto a plate.
The report states that Bak “walked over and kicked the bowl, also kicking (the man’s) hand in the process.”
The man responded by calling Bak a “motherf---er,” which led Bak to pull up his shirt and show the victim a silver revolver with a brown handle in his waistband, police said.
The report states the “shaken” victim, who believed Bak was going to “shoot him,” went back to his car and called police.
Authorities said Bak left the scene in his green Lexus, but came back. They said he declined to speak with officers.
Officers arrested Bak on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery.
A Broward County judge ordered Bak to have no contact with the man, have no guns or ammunition and to have no contact with animals ― save for his own dog.
Records show he would later be released from jail Wednesday on an $11,000 bond.
