BOCA RATON, Fla. – Don’t be alarmed if you hear sirens on the Florida Atlantic University Boca Raton campus on Friday.
According to a media release, FAU will test its emergency alert system on Friday, April 11.

The university said the outdoor sirens at the Boca Raton campus, the John D. MacArthur Campus in Jupiter and the FAU Harbor Branch Oceanic Institute in Fort Pierce, will go off at 2 p.m.
The school will also test its other emergency systems which would include telephone alerts, text messaging, digital signage throughout the campuses and the FAU Owl Ready app.
