The low-cost airline announced that a three-member temporary leadership committee was temporarily taking over Christie’s responsibilities.

The carrier also announced new flights to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport including four weekly from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport starting in October.

Spirit Airlines filed for bankruptcy protection in November and emerged in March after its parent company, Spirit Aviation Holdings, finalized debt restructuring and exited Chapter 11. JetBlue and Frontier both failed to negotiate mergers.
