Investigators described suspect Xavier Charles Glass as a “serial booster” responsible for multiple thefts in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties.

An investigator with Target’s asset protection team reported that Glass, 38, of Opa-locka, was arrested in connection with several high-dollar retail thefts that were caught on camera.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies said surveillance footage and witness accounts helped document a pattern of behavior at multiple stores.

They said on Feb. 28, Glass entered the Target store at 14075 Biscayne Blvd. in North Miami Beach at around 10:30 a.m., walked to the electronics section, and grabbed a PlayStation 5 system valued at $499.99, two standard PS5 controllers valued at $199.99 each, and one special paint PS5 controller worth another $199.99.

He then walked past all points of sale without attempting to pay and fled the scene. The store’s total loss from that incident was $1,059.96, according to an arrest report.

Glass returned to the same store at around 8:35 p.m., where detectives say he grabbed a $189.99 duffle bag, a Nintendo Switch, four PS5 controllers and another special paint PS5 controller, exited through the fire exit without paying, resulting in a $909.92 loss.

Three days later, on March 12, investigators say Glass struck again — this time at the Target located at 2750 SW 27th Terrace near the Coconut Grove Metrorail station in Miami.

Deputies said surveillance video showed him entering around 1:05 p.m. and selecting a suitcase worth $89.99 and 10 PS5 controllers priced between $74.99 and $79.99. He again left the store without paying. The reported loss in that case was $854.89.

The most recent incident occurred on Sunday at the Target on 3825 NW Seventh St. in Miami’s Flagami neighborhood.

According to investigators, Glass entered the store just before 9 a.m., grabbed a PS5 Pro valued at $699.99 and another Nintendo Switch for $349.99, then walked out through the fire exit without payment. They said the loss from that theft was $1,049.98.

Deputies said all incidents were captured on CCTV and video evidence was submitted to detectives.

Authorities confirmed that the total value of stolen merchandise from the four incidents is estimated at $3,874.75.

Investigators noted that Glass has prior convictions for theft.

Jail records show he is facing one count of multiple thefts involving 20 items in 30 days at different locations.

As of Tuesday, he is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $12,500 bond.
