MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal double shooting that occurred in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed Monday morning.
According to MDSO, the shooting happened in the area of 2722 NW 30th St. while the victims and a third person were standing outside a food truck.
“(The) initial investigation revealed that the subject approached the victims at a local establishment of a food truck, had an altercation of words (and) the subject brandished a firearm and shot at the victims,” Detective Joseph Peguero said.
According to Peguero, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a man was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he also died.
Peguero said the third victim was not injured in the shooting.
It’s unclear what led up to the initial argument.
