Bee Gee Barry Gibb headlines celebration of upgrades to Maurice Gibb Memorial Park in Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A beloved park on Miami Beach has received a makeover.

Maurice Gibb Memorial Park, which was named after the late member of the famed trio The Bee Gees, has been expanded with a cool new feature.

The park has a big new playground and an improved walkway along the water for patrons to enjoy.

“Our studio was like a block away from here,” said Barry Gibb, Maurice’s brother and fellow band member. “We always used to come here when we had a break and sit on the grass.”

The process to improve the park has taken several years, according to Adam Gibb, Maurice’s son.

Now the park, which was always a great place to visit, has even more green space for visitors to enjoy.
