Homestead police search for missing, endangered man with dementia

HOMESTEAD, Fla. – The Homestead Police Department asked for the public’s help Wednesday in locating a man who they say was reported missing and endangered.

Detectives say Francisco Javier De Armas, who has Alzheimer’s and dementia, was reported missing by his wife and was last seen around 7:30 p.m. on March 30, walking away from his home near the 200 block of Southeast Sixth Avenue.

He was wearing a gray T-shirt, black pants and black shoes at the time of his disappearance, according to investigators.

Authorities say De Armas may be disoriented.
