VIEW RESULTS: 3 Miami-Dade municipalities hold elections

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Elections were held Tuesday in three Miami-Dade County municipalities – Miami Springs, Surfside and Bay Harbor Islands.

In Miami Springs, voters elected Walter Fajet as their next mayor. Fajet defeated Bob Best, receiving 65.6% of the votes.

Also in Miami Springs, Joseph Dion was elected City Council member for Group II, and Fabian Perez-Crespo was elected City Council member for Group IV.

In Bay Harbor Islands, voters chose Stephanie Bruder as their new council member.

And in Surfside, “Surfside Max Floor Area Ratio New Homes” was the only item on the ballot.

It did not pass, with the “No” option receiving 55.4% of the votes.
