MIAMI – A 43-year-old Florida convicted felon became known as “Wonder” while growing up in Miami.

Records show Anna Castillo was back in jail Friday under one of her many identities, and Miami-Dade prosecutors want her back in prison.
After her most recent arrest, Castillo, also known as Monica Rodriguez, spent Wednesday and Thursday nights at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade.
Castillo, also known as Ana Belkis and Ana Veris, has a long arrest record involving different law enforcement agencies in South Florida.
Castillo, also known as Ana Vequis, was 19 years old when Miami police officers arrested her for grand theft auto while on probation for theft and robberies in Miami Beach.
Castillo, also known as Vekis or Bekis, was 21 years old when detectives arrested her for an armed robbery and three attempted robberies.
She was 23 when a Miami-Dade judge sentenced her to 15 years in prison and 36 years old when the Florida Department of Corrections released her.
Miami Beach police officers arrested her again for marijuana possession when she was 37. Her traffic record includes a 2023 criminal case in Broward County court.
A Pembroke Pines police officer arrested Castillo for driving a red Jeep that had been reported stolen in Doral. Her driver’s license had been suspended.
According to the Pembroke Pines police report, Castillo was covered in tattoos that included money bags, a lobster, and stars by the time she was 41 and living in North Miami.
Castillo allegedly told the officer that she had borrowed the Jeep from her friend “Melissa” who lived in Sunny Isles Beach and her friend had borrowed it from a boyfriend.
Last year, Castillo found herself in a similar situation. Records show deputies arrested her for grand theft auto on Dec. 29 in Miami-Dade County.
The related felony case Miami-Dade prosecutors filed on Dec. 30 was pending when corrections released her on Jan. 7 after she posted a $2,700 bond.
Miami-Dade court records show prosecutors were seeking the state’s enhanced penalty in January before an alleged conflict of interest prompted a court-appointed private counsel in February.
Records show Castillo has two pre-trial hearings coming up next month before Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Laura Cruz, who is presiding over the pending case. The hearings are at 9:35 a.m., April 15, and 9:30 a.m., April 28.
