Broward divers search vehicle submerged in canal near I-75

WESTON, Fla. – Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue personnel responded to a stormwater drainage canal on Thursday near Interstate 75.

Two divers in wet suits stood near the murky water and weeds that surrounded the top of a partially submerged silver vehicle with a sunroof.

A few feet away from the vehicle’s open trunk lid, two sets of diagonal tire marks stretched across the dry grass between the canal and the road.

The investigation was near an interchange connecting I-75, US 27, and Alligator Alley.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
