MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Four people were taken to area hospitals after a two-vehicle crash on the Palmetto Expressway near Southwest Eighth Street Wednesday, fire officials said.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, three of the victims were trauma-alert patients. One of them had to be removed from a vehicle.
The crash happened just before noon on the northbound exit ramp.
Multiple MDFR and Florida Highway Patrol units were at the scene, video from Sky 10 shows.
Authorities have not yet said what led up to the crash or who was at fault.
The crash led to delays and backups on the busy highway into the noon hour Wednesday.
