Young man faces felony charges over house party attack in Miami-Dade

MIAMI – An 18-year-old Bay Harbor Islands man appeared in Miami-Dade County court on Tuesday accused of a brutal attack during a house party in Biscayne Gardens.

Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Samuel Ayash after he surrendered on Monday morning at the Intracoastal District Station.

According to an arrest report, during the attack on the night of March 8, at a house along South River Drive, Ayash slapped and kicked a minor.

“The victim sustained cracked ribs, a laceration on the right eyebrow, abrasions, multiple contusions, and ruptured vessels to his eye,” a deputy wrote in the report adding, “Another unknown individual” also kicked the victim.

Miami-Dade correctional deputies booked Ayash on Monday afternoon at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and prosecutors filed a case against him on Tuesday.

Court records show he faced three felonies and a misdemeanor. The felonies were aggravated battery, aggravated child abuse, and battery in furtherance of a riot. The misdemeanor was contributing to the delinquency of a minor. His bond was $7,500.
