Records show the victims filed reports with the Prairie Grove and Fort Worth police departments after $34,0000 in bank transfers from Chase to Regions in 2023.

Investigators reported tracking a $19,000 transfer on Aug. 15, 2023, and a $15,000 transfer on Aug. 15, 2023, to an account that Chanel Roberts closed on Sept. 1, 2023.

A detective reported arresting Roberts at 3:20 p.m., on Monday, at a three-bedroom house along Northwest 57 Street, near 11 Avenue in the Liberty City neighborhood.

According to an arrest report, Roberts agreed to speak to a detective with the Miami Police Department’s financial crimes unit without a defense attorney present.

According to the report, Roberts told the detective, “She had a Regions Bank account, which she briefly opened in 2023 when she began working at Burger King.”

Roberts didn’t have an arrest record before Monday in Miami-Dade County. Inmate records show corrections booked her shortly after 7:35 p.m., at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Miami-Dade prosecutors filed the felony case against Roberts on Tuesday for organized fraud and grand theft. She appeared in court and a judge ordered her to stay away from the victims. Her bond was $7,500.

Court records show County Circuit Judge Jason Bloch was set to preside over the case.
