On Tuesday, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children put out a new plea for help finding the missing Tamarac teenager.

Russo vanished on Aug. 3, 2024. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies said she was last seen in the 7500 block of Black Olive Way.

“She is described as 5 feet tall, weighed 100 pounds when she was last seen and has brown eyes and brown hair,” a NCMEC news release states. “Authorities believe that Gia may still be in the local area or travel to surrounding cities.”

The organization says Russo’s father “wants nothing more than to know” that she is OK and “loves and misses his daughter deeply.”

Anyone with information on Russo’s disappearance is asked to call NCMEC at 800-843-5678 or BSO at 954-764-4357.
