POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Earlier this week, The Broward Young Republicans identified Connor Sheridan, a real estate agent, as a former president of the local organization.
A Catholic community identified Colleen Sheridan as a worker at The Society of St. Vincent de Paul North Broward and a volunteer at Milo’s Dog Rescue of South Florida and Doberman Rescue.
Detectives were investigating the motive behind the recent Sheridan family tragedy in Broward County.
“I’m utterly devastated to learn of the deaths of my good friends Connor Sheridan and Colleen Sheridan. Utterly gutted,” Michele Merrell wrote Friday on Facebook.
According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, James Sheridan, 80, fatally shot his 31-year-old son and 71-year-old wife before killing himself in Pompano Beach.
BSO reported deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue personnel found the three dead after a welfare check on Wednesday night at 330 South Golf Boulevard.
Friends of the family fundraised online to organize the funeral services to be held at 4 p.m., on April 3, at the St. Coleman Catholic Church, at 1200 South Federal Highway, in Pompano Beach.
The Sheridan family’s neighbors told deputies they knew something was wrong after they noticed their two cars were parked in the driveway for longer than usual and their mailbox was overflowing, according to BSO.
Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
