Deputies respond to Miami-Dade private school after false alarm

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – There was a false alarm at a private school in Miami-Dade County that caused some parents to panic on Tuesday morning after a report of an intruder.

According to the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Christopher Columbus High School in Westchester.

After an investigation, deputies reported “the call” to the Catholic prep school, at 3000 SW 87 Ave., was “unfounded.”

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
