PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – The Pembroke Park Police Department released videos showing a group of vandals who damaged a parked police car on Sunday at a gas station.
“Three individuals got on top of the decoy vehicle and started jumping on the vehicle, and subsequently they shattered our windshield,” said Pembroke Park Police Deputy Chief Jason Ochoa.
9 a.m. report:
The vandals were part of a group of dozens of riders in motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, and bikes that stopped at the RaceTrac gas station along Pembroke Road.
“Complete lawlessness and complete disrespect for not only law enforcement but the community itself,” said Ochoa. “We are investigating, not only the traffic laws that they violated within our community, and also we’re looking into the acts they committed of criminal mischief and the vandalism of our vehicle.”
Police said they were able to pull nine fingerprints from the decoy police car.
Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call the police department at 954- 374-8639 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
