MIAMI – A South Florida woman is facing a first-degree felony charge after they said she attacked a 69-year-old woman with a “hard plastic blood pressure machine” and later pushed the senior to the ground.

Miami police said the victim is the ex-wife of suspect Dentia Chynne Chatelain’s boyfriend.

According to an arrest report, the incident happened Saturday at the home of Chatelain’s boyfriend, located in the 5500 block of Northwest Ninth Avenue in the Liberty City neighborhood.

Police said Chatelain, 31, of northwest Miami-Dade, was following the victim as she pulled up to the home to “confront” her.

They said Chatelain entered the home and threw the blood pressure machine at the woman’s forehead, bruising her.

The report states she then told her “I’m going to beat your a-- today” as she pushed the senior to the ground.

Authorities said they broke up the argument after arriving, but Chatelain claimed “nothing physical” had occurred.

A witness pointed out the blood pressure machine on the ground, police said.

According to jail records, the incident happened while Chatelain was out on felony bond for charges of aggravated battery on a specified official or employee and disrupting an educational institution.

She was being held on a charge of aggravated battery on a person 65 or older in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center as of Monday.
