MIAMI – An investigation is ongoing after a crash involving a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Officer cruiser.
It happened along Northwest Eighth Street and Fifth Avenue in Miami shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday.
According to officials, the crash involved two vehicles, the sheriff’s cruiser and a white Honda Accord.
Three people were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center by first responders, the deputy and two people who were in the Honda, all in stable condition.
Local 10 News cameras at the scene observed that both vehicles crashed into a business at the intersection.
The front part of the cruiser was badly damaged.
Local 10′s Hannah Yechivi spoke to the son of the driver of this Honda, he was at the scene to try and figure out for himself what happened to his father. He said that his father was doing taxi services early this morning to help him pay for college, and that his aunt received a very short call from him saying he was in an accident and was at the hospital.
